Overnight Oats And Why You Need to Start Your Morning With Them
Overnight oats have honestly been receiving some great attention lately maybe because they come in a mason jar, maybe because some celebs posted about them, regardless though it seems like their on-trend.
But what I think the whole world should know is that these hearty outs shouldn’t just be in your life for a breakfast season like a pumpkin spice latte in the fall, they should be in your life year-round for a few great reasons.
They’re healthy
Easy and quick to make
Don’t go bad
You can make them in bulk
They’re transportable and sealable
Customizable
Taste great
Let’s dive into them!
That’s right you can put in a ton of different ingredients in your oats that are great for your health and you can make it according to what your body needs.
Here are a few ingredients you can add and their health benefits not to mention they taste pretty good too when you get the right combination.
As of writing this, I use all these ingredients listed below with a quick blurb on their benefits and where to get them!
Ingredients
Shredded Coconut -rich in fiber and MCT’s
Dates -contain different antioxidants

If you do get all these ingredients it costs roughly $120 but once interesting is depending on how the amount of oats you use this typically lasts me about 2.5 months.
So you’re really getting each meal for under $2 and it’s packed with enough energy to keep you going through lunch.
But you can add many more dry ingredients to your mix, I recommend you experiment with these ingredients and others until you find your perfect flavor mix.
The next best thing about overnight oats is that they’re incredibly simple to make.
Literally, all you do is you mix all of these ingredients in a container, also there is no right or incorrect portions so add as much of each in as you like.
Once everything is completely mixed break out that mason jar.
Add in your milk or milk beverage of choice and if you want to cut it to save you can add water.
Next, add in your nut butter of preference if you want to give it some extra flavor.
Now for the final step just seal it and throw it in the fridge overnight and when you wake up in the morning your breakfast will be ready to go.
Literally, this is my favorite thing about it.
That there you don’t have to take any time to prepare it in the morning and you don’t have to sit down make your plate, eat it while it’s hot, none of that.
You can throw it in your bag and go.
What’s also nice too is you’re only in the mood for half of your overnight oats that morning you can seal them back up and save them for later.
You can even throw them back in your fridge for the following day.
So for those reasons, I honestly think overnight oats are the perfect meal for anyone who has a lot going on but still wants to have a nutritious meal to start their day no matter what.
My advice is to play with those ingredients I mentioned above, add new ones, find the portions that work for you and you’ll start making the perfect batch of oats for yourself in no time!
Good luck, stay positive, stay healthy, and enjoy your oats!
